Our sandy beach is excellent for surfing, bodysurfing, swimming, sand castles, etc. The beach/break is called Grandview Beach) (click for more info) which is part of the California State Park system. Our street, Tattenham Rd, is the northern extension of "Neptune Avenue," which changes name right at a secure gate creating a quiet a cul-de-sac for our home. Plug "Tattenham Rd" into Mapquest, or Google maps to see how our road hugs the beach. Property is adjacent to South Carlsbad State Beach, Ponto Beach, and Batiquitos -- a world class coastal birding is nesting area for endangered "Least Tern"

Down on the beach, you can walk for and miles in either direction, or just pull up a towel and watch the surfers.
